About IMTAP 

The IMTAP course is AMCI’s signature peer-to-peer, game-based approach to mastering medical language. Whether you're brand new to the field or brushing up on the basics, this interactive module helps you build a strong foundation in medical terminology and anatomy and physiology two essentials every world-class coder must know. Through fun, engaging tools like Kahoot and Quizlet Live, you’ll connect with fellow students, reinforce what you learn, and gain the confidence to transition into diagnosis and procedure coding with ease. This course is designed to be taken alongside your coding modules or completed at your own pace whatever suits your learning style best. Meet Your Instructors

At AMCI, our instructors are experienced, certified, and passionate about teaching the next generation of medical coders. You’ll be guided by a dynamic team of experts: Mrs. Jay (MJ) – Curriculum Development Manager and Founder member of AMCI. Known for her forensic approach to coding instruction, she ensures every student gains a deep and ethical understanding of coding guidelines. Ms. Dolly – Lead Instructor and MCG Editor. She brings precision, warmth, and a keen eye for detail to ICD-10-CM instruction and helps maintain the integrity of the AMCI Medical Coding Guidelines Manual. Ms. Bianca – Lead Instructor and Communications Manager. She specializes in breaking down complex coding scenarios with clarity, while also supporting students through communication channels like Discord and HubSpot. Mr. Sandeep – Curriculum Developer and Instructor. Based in Dubai, he offers global insight and CPT expertise, helping students master even the most challenging guideline applications. Ms. Mills – Medical Terminology and Anatomy Instructor. She introduces students to the language of medicine with energy and clarity, laying a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and medical terms essential to accurate coding. Together, our team is committed to helping you succeed—not just on the exam, but in your coding career. We teach with purpose, we teach with passion, and most importantly, we teach the AMCI way.
